I've did first work on this in the context of extended Shortcuts support.

The just released 2.2.1 update includes the "Smart Collection" example Shortcut which can be used for this. It can be found in the in-app Settings under Siri & Shortcuts.

If you run it, you can tap on "Artist" and pick "Genre", then tap the "Genre" placeholder, pick one, and press Done. It'll then open the app and show an ad-hoc collection with the albums matching that Genre.
