I use Sleeve (https://replay.software/sleeve) with Apple Music to quickly show what song is playing/generally take mini player-type actions. Having a global shortcut to temporarily show the mini player on top of other windows would be a welcome addition.

Thanks for the suggestion, Alec Lomas. The latest update 1.1.4 includes a new "Global Hotkey" to show/hide the app in the settings. Please give it a try. I'm using it quite a bit now myself :)
